DIBRUGARH: Four people were injured after a male leopard attacked them while trying to terrorize them at Tengakhat in Dibrugarh, northern Assam.

The incident took place on Friday in the village of Pandhua under the Tengakhat police station in Dibrugarh. The injured were rushed to the Tengakhat Primary Health Center for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Forest Department has set up a cage in the village of Pandua to catch the leopard. “On Friday morning, a leopard was found in our village, and the young people in the village tried to terrorize the leopard with a stick, but the leopard attacked them. The leopard evacuated to the jungle of our village. I was doing it, “said the villagers.

“For the last few days, leopards have caused terrorism in our village. We have informed the Forest Department about leopards,” he added.

“We put a cage in the village of Pandua to catch the leopard. Soon the leopard will be put in the cage,” said a forest official.
