KAAC Poll: Ongoing Revoting at Duar Amla Constituency

After violence at these polling stations in the constituency, the Assam State Election Commission on Thursday announced re-voting at these two polling stations.

Violence occurred when an angry mob destroyed a ballot box and claimed cheating by polling place officials. The guards there then fired to disperse the violent mob.

In the parliamentary elections on Wednesday, 154 candidates were fighting. The BJP participated in all 26 seats, and Congress contested 24 seats.

In addition to this, AAP competed for 102 seats and CPIL (ML) won 15 seats.

According to the State Election Commission, 77.96 percent of the votes were recorded.
