International Level Crossing Awareness Day Observed in Tinsukia District

Tinsukia: NFR’s Tinsukia Railroad Division will observe International Railroad Crossing Awareness Day on Thursday through a variety of railroad crossing-related safety activities such as street dramas, distribution of safety leaflets, and motorcycle rallies at various locations in the Tinsukia area. did.

This rally was flagged by DRM Bijaya Kumar Mishra. Mishra attended the rally before the launch program and said 90 percent of the deaths occurred at railroad crossings. He said most of the accidents were caused by non-compliance with safety protocols, adding that people crossing the tracks need to monitor the movement of trains on both sides.

In the context of the Tinsukia district, Mishra pointed out that both railroads and roads run in parallel, making the whole prone to accidents. He advised people not to use their cell phones or music systems while crossing or walking by the railroad tracks. Participants in the program were K Sangsung ADRM, Shubham Kumar, Senior Department Safety Officer, and Railroad Staff.
