IndiGo Flight's Precautionary Landing In Karachi, All Passengers Safe

According to IndiGo, a plane carrying IndiGo passengers from Sharjah and Hyderabad was diverted to Pakistan today by a pilot who reported a technical issue in the aircraft. According to the airline, all passengers and crew were safe when it made a pre-planned landing at Karachi.

Indian low-cost carrier Air India also announced that an additional flight to Karachi will be provided to take passengers to Hyderabad.

IndiGo Flight 6E-1406 from Sharjah was diverted to Karachi. Pilot noticed a technical problem. As a precaution, the pilot noticed a problem and diverted the aircraft to Karachi. The airline released that an extra flight will be sent to Karachi for passengers flying to Hyderabad.

Sources within the government told Bibarud the IndiGo Airbus did the precautionary landing following a fault in Engine 2 (or the right engine) of the plane’s system.

It is only the second time in two weeks that an Indian airline has made an unscheduled land landing in Karachi.
