Indian Air Power Seeks Particulars As US Grounds Chinook Chopper Fleet: Report

The Indian Air Power (IAF) has sought particulars from American defence producer Boeing concerning the causes behind the grounding of the US Military’s whole fleet of Chinook helicopters.

The IAF operates a fleet of 15 Boeing-made Chinook helicopters acquired from the US and inducted into service in March 2019.

“Indian Air Power’s Chinook helicopter fleet remains to be operational. India has sought particulars of the explanations which have led to the grounding of the whole fleet of US Military’s Chinook CH-47 helicopters due to a danger of engine fires,” authorities officers advised ANI when requested concerning the grounding of the American Military fleet.

In accordance with native media studies, the US Military grounded its whole fleet of CH-47 Chinook helicopters on account of a danger of engine fires.
