In the village of Assam where the bulldozer rolls, the children left to protect themselves for themselves

Three days after a bulldozer broke into the village of Salonibari in Assam and destroyed several homes allegedly owned by people accused of being attacked by a police station, the village scene was a helpless villager himself. It depicts the state of trying to protect. Villagers claim that the house was demolished even though it was legally built.

Many adults have fled the village and are protecting themselves for themselves, leaving children behind.

Authorities claim that the house was demolished as part of an intrusion prevention movement. They say the demolition work was done because the land was invaded, allegedly purchased in counterfeit documents, and the house was illegal.

A mob attacked a police station last Friday and fired. This is believed to be to protest the alleged death in detention of the 39-year-old Saficle Islam. Protesters alleged that Islam, a fish seller, was killed during detention after not bribeing police officers.

Police claim that Saficle was picked up drunk on Friday night and handed over to his wife the next day.

The day after the attack on the police station, the bulldozer destroyed at least four homes allegedly involved in the violence.
