Assam Court withholds order on Gujarat MLA Zigneshmevani's bail plea

If Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani is released on bail "assault" About police officers

Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani was granted bail by an Assam court on suspicion of assaulting police officers.

Mevani was re-arrested in an assault on April 25, shortly after another court in Assam granted bail in a case involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tweet.

The MLA was accused of “assaulting and indignation” of the humility of women in law officers in a new case against him.

Mevani was first arrested last Thursday in Palanpur, Gujarat by a team of Assam police after a local BJP leader in Kokrajhar, Assam, filed a complaint against him. Mr. Mevani, a major critic of Prime Minister Modi, called his arrest “Vendetta politics by the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office).”

“This is a plot by BJP and RSS. They did this to hurt my image. They have done this systematically. They did it to Rohit Vemula and did it to Chandrasekhar Azad. I told reporters on the day I was released on bail in the Tweet case.
