Heroin Worth Rs1 Chlore confiscated from a woman on Assam’s train: Police

According to police, heroin worth more than one rupee was confiscated from a woman traveling by train in Assam’s Calvi Anlong district on Tuesday.

During regular inspections of the Lumding-Tinsukia passenger train near the Bokajan district, railroad police found 232 grams of heroin hidden in 20 soap boxes owned by women, they said.

A woman traveling in a compartment for the disabled was arrested. They added that she is a resident of the Tinsukia tea garden area.

Police said the case had been registered and an investigation was underway.
