Free eye screening at the Dubri Lions Vision Center
Dubri: The Dubri Lions Club and the Dubri Town Leo Club, in collaboration with the Gauhati Lions Eye Hospital, held a free eye exam at the Dubri Lions Vision Center on Sunday.
This program was organized under the National Blindness Management Program to Prevent Globally Avoidable Blindness, a goal set by Lions Clubs International. More than 230 patients were attended by a team of experts from Gauhati Lions Eye Hospital, Debeswarpatak, Gopinas Barua and Jondas. About 150 patients were diagnosed with refractive error, 50 were diagnosed with cataracts, and 30 were diagnosed with other problems such as pterygium, glaucoma, and DCT.
Sanjay Setia, who speaks with Sentinel, president of the Dubri Lions Club, said all patients with cataracts will be taken to the Gauhati Lions Eye Hospital in four batches for free cataract surgery. I did.
