Foreign-made cigarettes worth Rs 160,000 confiscated by the Cam Wrap police

Rangia: Kamrup police, led by SP Hitesh ChRoy and an additional SPA Asif Ahmed, seized a large amount of foreign tobacco from a parcel van at the Indian Post Office operating chip-off.

According to Kamrup SP, when certain information was received, a team of Kamrup police led by SP Hitesh ChRoy and Additional SPASif Ahmed blocked the parcel van at the Madanpur tollhouse near Changsari on Wednesday night. Police took the car to the Chansari police station. After conducting a search, police seized 13 cartons of foreign-made cigarettes worth Rs 160,000. Tobacco was being transported from Mizoram to Delhi. Police arrested van drivers and handymen Homme Beer and Anil.
