Five family members drowning in the Maharashtra quarry because the rescue is so wrong

Police said today that a family of five, including three children, had drowned in a water-filled quarry in the Sain district of Maharashtra. They said the family jumped into the quarry to save one of the accompanying children who apparently slipped and fell into the water.

The incident occurred at 4 pm in the village of Sandap near Dong Bi Bali, which is adjacent to Mumbai.

According to the villagers, due to lack of water in the village, the family went to the quarry to wash their clothes. The women were washing their clothes when the child they were with fell into the quarry. Then they jumped into the water to save him. However, all five were drowned.

The dead were identified as Mira Gaikwad (55), her daughter-in-law Apeksha (30), grandchildren Mayuresh (15), Moksha (13), and Nilesh (15).
