First Pic Of Earliest Galaxies Formed After Big Bang By Webb Telescope
The White House hosted Joe Biden, the US Vice President and Kamala Harris today to view the first image from the world’s most powerful and largest space telescope, the James Webb Telescope. NASA, the European Space Agency and Canada Space Agency (CSA) will soon release the image and spectroscopic data taken by the telescope.
This image shows a small area of sky about the same size as a grain on the ground. It also includes thousands of galaxies, and some of the most faint objects that have ever been observed.
Joe Biden, the US President, said that today was a “historic day”. For America, and for all humanity, this is an historic moment.
During the preview of images, Kamala Harris, the US Vice President expressed excitement. This is an exciting time for us all. She said that today is a new exciting chapter in the history of the universe.
