LAKHIMPUR: Bakuli Dutta, a permanent resident of Chamuagaon near the town of North Lakhimpur, took her last breath at her residence around 11:20 pm on Sunday night due to an old age illness. She was 85 years old.
Bakuri Dutta was a devout woman popular locally for her altruistic attitude and quality of “simple life, high thinking”. She donated the land to Purbanchal Sakha Xahitya Xabha, a literary organization under Axam Xahitya Xabha. The literary group set up a park named Panindra Udian (Panindra Park) on the land in memory of Assam literary star Panindra Nas Gogoy. Construction work on the park is currently underway with a self-financed investment run by a literary organization.
At the end of the land donor, Rakinpuru Petit Boral al-Chetana Sanga, Pervanchar Saha Zahitia Zaba, and many other institutions, organizations, and individuals express their sorrows and the eternal peace of the dead soul. I prayed. She survives with four sons, one daughter and many relatives.
