Gasoline and diesel prices after excise tax cuts in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities

Eknath Shinde announces tax cuts to make fuel cheaper in Maharashtra

Maharashtra will reduce VAT or VAT on fuel and effectively reduce state prices, Eknath Shinde said today in one of the first major announcements as the new Prime Minister of Maharashtra. Most BJP-controlled states are chopping up fuel prices, but opposition-controlled states do not want to.

Last November, the center reduced the gasoline and diesel excise tax by 5 and 10 rupees. Most BJP-dominated countries have also reduced VAT.

In April, opposition-controlled nations rejected the Prime Minister’s proposal to reduce fuel VAT as a bailout for the people. Opposition-dominated nations have previously refused, saying it would have a major negative impact on their income.
