Dubri police begin attaching cattle smuggler property

Dhubri: Dhubri police began attaching the property of cattle smugglers under the Assam Cattle Protection Act on Thursday, 2021. The first attachment under the Assam Cattle Protection (Amendment) Act of 2021 was made to Abutahel Md Nazururu Islamic Sheikh under the Golakganj Police Department case number. 191/2022 u / s 379/411/120 (B) IPC r / w Section 13 (1) of the Assam Cattle Protection (Revised) Act of 2021.

The accused was arrested on May 31, 2022 during a cattle smuggling prevention operation while leading a companion rowing a boat loaded with cattle to a safe destination. The accused is in command of a network of cattle smugglers operating in the Gorakgangji region and has been obsessed with this illegal activity for quite some time. He has accumulated considerable wealth over the past few years and has used his and immovables to promote and operate a network of cattle smuggling. The accused was a habitual criminal and was previously arrested in connection with the Gorakuganji PS case number. 374/08 u / s 120 B / 121/121 A / 122/123 IPC r / w Section 3/4 of the Explosives Act.

The total amount of his property attached and seized is 65,68,359.67 rupees. When contacted, Dhubri Police Chief Abhijit Gurav Dilip informed him that the card had a few more attachments and would be done soon.
