District Task Force Conference on Vector Infectious Diseases in Tinsukia
DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of the National Vector Infectious Diseases Prevention Program, the District Task Force Meeting on Vector Infectious Diseases such as Japanese Encephalitis (JE), Malaria and Dengue was held at the Deputy Secretary (DC) meeting place. Tinsukia chaired by DC Nara Singh Pawar on Wednesday.
The meeting discussed various emergency measures to prevent and manage these illnesses. DC Pawar has taken urgent steps to raise people’s awareness and has instructed them to organize health check-up camps where such illnesses can be endemic.
DC has also instructed ANM to be vigilant, in addition to ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activists) workers, just in case. He also ordered cloudiness and other necessary measures to be taken in areas under the various municipalities of the district. Meanwhile, the DC has instructed relevant departments to take special measures in areas where pig farming is employed by people.
