Parliamentary leader Navjot Singh Sidhu found on Monday that Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was arrested by Punjab police for “vendetta politics.”
Naveen Kumar Jindal, a spokesman for the Delhi BJP, claimed that about 50 Punjab police officers broke into Mr Bagga’s house in Delhi at around 8:30 am and arrested him. “He couldn’t even wear a turban,” he said.
“Tajinder Bagga may be from another party and may have ideological differences. However, the political avengers of @ArvindKejriwal and @BhagwantMann may be able to score personally through Punjab police. It’s a serious sin … it. “
Police in Delhi registered the kidnapping case based on a complaint from Mr. Bagga’s father that some people came to his house in Janakpuri, Delhi, and took his son away around 8 am.
Punjab police said in a statement that Mr Bagga would be taken to Punjab and appear in court. However, the vehicle carrying a politician from Delhi to Mohali, who has spoken very loudly to Prime Minister Arvind Keziwar on social media, was stopped in Krkshetla, Haryana.
