Dibrugarh University has organized a one-week community work program

Dibrugarh: The Faculty of Education at Dibrugarh University is a one-week community work program on education as part of the B.Ed curriculum at Salvajanin High School in Dibrugarh (near BCPL in Dibrugarh) from April 25th to April 30th. has been held. For Sustainable Development (ESD) under the guidance of Dr. Amar Upadiya, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Program.

The community work program revolved around the concepts of SDGs and ESD. Creating medicinal and flower fields on school grounds, health checkup camps to support Shramdan, Assam Medical College and hospitals in the neighborhood, village surveys on hygiene and hygiene, community plantations, awareness of plastic use, and more. The program has been organized. By interacting with the local community.

Students were trained in SGD-themed arts and crafts activities, theater, singing and music. Student counseling programs were also effectively organized. An “honest” store has also been set up on the school grounds to help students develop their honest habits. B. Ed’s students were also engaged in local cooking activities.

On the final day of the program, a public rally on the theme of achieving the SDGs was held locally and was attended by about 300 people, including members of the local community. In the afternoon, a cultural program was held by school students and community members. Art and craft training artifacts were also exhibited at the venue. The Faculty of Education at Dibrugarh University is grateful for helping school authorities, school administration committees, school teachers, and members of the community successfully organize community work programs.
