"Cheap flights to Gore," Uber tweets a man to charge Rs 3,000 on a 50km ride
The exorbitant fare charged by the ride-hailing service company Uber to carry passengers by ferry has recently surprised Mumbai residents. The person was trying to book a taxi house in the rain and was surprised to see the fare reach thousands.
Now, you might wonder if Uber could now be billed. Well, the fare for a 50km trip was well over Rs3,000.
Shravankumar Suvarna, who lives in Mumbai, posted on Twitter about his trials. He also shared a screenshot of the Uber app showing the price. The UberGo fare was 3,041 rupees, the premier fare was 4,081 rupees and the XL fare was 5,159 rupees.
