Center for Development in the Bodoland Region: Amit Shah in Assam

Interior Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the full development of Assam’s Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), with both the center and the state government fulfilling 90 percent of the Bodo agreement clause.

The BDR consists of the Bodo community district in the northeastern province.

In January 2020, the central government signed an agreement (Bodo Peace Accord) with the rebel group, the National Democratic Front of the People’s Republic of Bodoland (NDFB), to provide political and economic jackpots.

Amit Shah promised that the BJP would drive away the rebellion from Assam seven years ago, mostly to sign a peace treaty with the 9,000 militants that the Home Office has surrendered so far under the guidance of the Prime Minister. Said that he brought the costumes of the radicals.

According to Shah, this is the first time that Boro community member Biswagit Daymary has become an Assam speaker since independence.

After bringing peace to Bodoland, Mr Shah said the government would now try to create jobs for Bodoland’s youth.
