CBI Raids 2 Leaders From Tejashwi Yadav's Party Ahead Of Test Of Strength

Two senior members of the Tejashwi Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal were attacked by the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI). This was in connection to the “landfor-jobs” case, which alleges irregularities in his father’s tenure in the UPA_I government as Railway minister.

The raids were carried out on a day when the Nitish Kumar-led government backed by RJD takes a test of majority in the Assembly, two weeks after the Janata Dal (United) parted ways with the BJP and joined hands with RJD.

CBI teams arrived at the residences of RJD Rajya Sabha MP Ahmad Ashfaque Karim, and Sunil Sing, Member of Legislative Council (Bihar) this morning. This is intentional. It has no purpose. After his raid at Patna’s home, Mr Singh stated that they were doing this in fear of our MLAs joining them.

A spokesperson for RJD had tweeted that CBI and the other central agencies were preparing to raid because the BJP is “furious” about losing power in Bihar.

CBI, ED and IT, furious BJP allies, are preparing to raid Bihar in the near future. In Patna, the gathering began. It is an important day tomorrow,” he tweeted.
