Call for the establishment of BVFCL Nam Wrap 4th Factory.Memorandum of Understanding submitted to the President

DIBRUGARH: On Friday, Citizens Forum Nam Lap sent a memorandum of understanding to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on intervention in the establishment of the BVFCL Nam Lap No. 4 Plant.

Tile’s War Bora, Secretary-General of the Namrap Citizens Forum, spoke with Sentinel: “We have sent a memorandum of understanding to the President of India calling for intervention in the establishment of the BVFCL Unit 4. The government has given a guarantee. The fourth unit. I installed it, but nothing happened to this day. ”

The Memorandum of Understanding said that when the Government of India visited Namrup on June 26, 2006, it announced that it would launch a “Brownfield Project” under the name of the Namrup-4 plant. Hopes and aspirations in the hearts of the Assam people. However, 16 years have already passed and no final results have been achieved so far regarding the establishment of a new factory.

In addition, the Government of India said it has decided to revive some closed fertilizer units such as Ramakundam in Telangana. Talcher in Orissa and Sindri in Bihar maintain a specific sound public sector company nomination system for investment in these closed plants. Production has already begun after the construction of these factories has been completed. However, in the case of Namrap No. 4 Factory, the proposal is still written on paper.

Namlap, a civic forum, has taken steps to revive the only fertilizer plant in the region and has appealed to the president to meet the long-standing desires and aspirations of the Assam people.
