Bulldozer Action Against Accused In Assam Animal Rights Activist's Suicide

Tuesday was a day of evictions by the Dibrugarh district administration. Baidulla Khan, a resident at Ghoramara (Upper Assam), was demolished.

Baidulla Khan is the principal accused in Vineet Baaria’s suicide trial as a businessman, activist and animal rights advocate.

On July 8, the Dibrugarh district administration issued an order to the defendants. According to the notice, the building’s two-storey height was unlawfully restricted in violation of all rules.

Bitul Chetia, Dibrugarh Additional Superintendent Police (HQ), stated that the building had been illegally built on the street without the permission of the district administration. We served a notice on July 8 and have demolished the building, which was two stories high.

Assam Special Deputy Governor (law and Order) GP Singh paid condolences to Vineet Bazar’s house Monday.

“Those who break the law” will be punished, GP Singh declared.
