Bongai Gaon police destroyed the betel nut in Burma

Bongai Gaon: Bongai Gaon police destroyed a large number of confiscated betel nuts in Burma on Friday. The real value of these Burmese betel nuts is about Rs25lakh. The cargo was confiscated at Manikpur PS in the Bongaigaon district on June 4, last year, and was illegally transported. The nuts were then sent for testing, and the confiscated betel nuts in Burma were declared unsuitable for consumption, according to reports from the Bongai Gaon Food Inspector, Guwahati Institute for Forensic Medicine, and Kerala Central Plantation Institute.

Based on these reports, the Bongai Gaon Court ordered the destruction of the betel nut. On Friday, the betel nut was destroyed in Manikpur PS in front of Bongaigaon, where there were Bongaigaon, additional SP Bongaigaon, CO Manikpur, and many other foremen.
