Assam: Two extra arrested for suspected jihadi hyperlinks

NAGAON: The police in Assam, on Monday, two extra individuals over suspected hyperlinks with jihadi outfits.

The 2 individuals had been arrested from Morigaon and Nagaon districts of Assam.

The arrested individuals have been recognized as Mossadik Hussain and Ikramul Islam.

Ikramul Islan was arrested from Nagaon district and is an Imam.

However, Mossadik Hussain was arrested from Moirabari space within the Morigaon district of Assam.

In accordance with police, each the arrested individuals have hyperlinks with the Bangladesh-based terrorist outfit Ansarullah Bangla Staff (ABT).

Notably, round 40 individuals, together with Imams and madrasa academics, have been arrested by the Assam police from totally different elements of the state, over alleged their hyperlinks to terrorist outfits — Ansarullah Bangla Staff (ABT) and Al Qaida in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS).
