Assam: Two extra arrested for alleged hyperlinks with jihadi components
GUWAHATI: The police in Assam have intensified its crackdown in opposition to alleged jihadi components within the state.
Two extra individuals have been arrested by the police in Barpeta district of Assam for allegedly being concerned in jihadi actions.
The 2 individuals, who had been arrested by the Assam police have been recognized as Akbar Ali and Abul Kalam Azad.
The duo had been detained from a home at Sorbhog in Barpeta district of Assam.
Later, following an in a single day interrogation each the accused had been arrested.
In the meantime, a neighborhood courtroom despatched each the accused to 10-day police custody.

Earlier, Assam director common of police (DGP) – Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta has said that some counter-radicalisation measures have been initiated to sort out the rising community of jihadis within the state.
