Assam: Two Dibrugarh University students drown in Siang River in Arunachal Pradesh

Assam: 2 students from Dibrugarh University drown in Siang River, Arunachal Pradesh

DIBRUGARH: Two students of Dibrugarh University in Assam drowned in the Siang River at Raneghat in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pasighat. 

Reports state that five students visited the Siang River in Raneghat, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. 

They were just about to take a dip in the river when they became aware of it.  

Three of the three survived to reach the coast, but there are two more to go.  

The rescue operation in Siang River is being continued by both Assam Rescue Teams and Arunachal Pradesh Rescue Teams.

Prasiddha Hique and Subhadeep P. are two of the Dibrugarh University student who were missing. 

Prasiddha Handique, hailing from Chiring Chapori in Assam’s Dibrugarh district, is a PGDCA last semester student. 

Subhadeep Paul is from Gohpur and is currently a sixth-year student at Dibrugarh University, Assam.
