Assam: Speed-violating train kills father and son in a train wreck in Dhubri

The incident occurred around 9 am when the Dhubri-Kamakaya high-speed passenger train crossed the railway bridge over the Sankosh River in Villasipara.

The train was heading from Dhubri to Guwahati’s Kamakia.

The deceased were identified as Yusuf Ali (40) and his son Saidur Islam, who were welcomed by the village of Jamanatari in the Kokrajar district.

Locals said the father-son duo didn’t know that the train was passing by when crossing the bridge, and they didn’t know it because they weren’t residents of the area. ..

Previously, in a shocking incident in Assam’s Dhubri district, a full-speed charging train collided with a passenger car at a railroad crossing at an unmanned railroad gate.

The incident took place on February 18 in the Boniamari area under Golakganj in the Dhubri district of Assam.
