Assam: Sivasagar police recover ONGC equipment stolen from dump yard

The stolen equipment includes numerous drilling pipes and hydraulic packer machines.

A police team led by Najira’s Subdivision Police Officer (SDPO) raided the dump yard and confiscated stolen equipment. They had received certain information about this location.

A person named Hamidur Rahman happens to be the owner of this dump yard. The ONGC Najira office notified police of the incident, after which the operation began.

Meanwhile, Margherita police destroyed an illegal oil depot at the Powai Center under the Digboy Police Station, and on February 28, diesel from a nearby Daba site owned by one Dilipsin and Bagwanshire. He confiscated 5,000 liters of fuel stored in what appears to be a drum.

The oil pilfer duo escaped in the dark, but Digboi PS Case No.36 / 2022 U / S 379/411 IPC, R / W Sec. 23 (1) (a) Petroleum Act 1934. The assault was carried out under the guidance of SDPO Margherita, Persaplatimdas.

According to neighbors, these illegal acts continued for a long time, even though the oil thief’s father, Bagwan Shah, and his employees had previously been sent to jail.
