Assam: Several people injured in violence in Jorhat’s JB college student neighborhood elections

Proponents of the Students’Union have reportedly been accused of attacking college students in the 2022 Students’ Union elections at JB (Jagannath Barooah) University in Jorhat.

Independent candidates reportedly claimed that some members of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) entered the campus of JB College Hostel around 3 am to post posters, but they attacked the students. I started to do it.

After entering the hostel campus early Saturday morning, a group of AASU members of 25-30 supporters reportedly attacked hostel students with iron rods and rods.

Violence among students broke out over the upcoming union elections at JB College.

One independent candidate reported that several students were injured late Friday night and faced mental harassment after an attack by AASU members.
