Assam: IMD predicts heavy rains on June 8th and 9th

IMD shared the weather forecast for the next two days. It states that many parts of Assam have been hit by heavy torrential rains, despite heavy rains over the past two days.

According to the IMD Bulletin, heavy rains will fall from heavy rain to heavy rain on June 8 in Dubli, Kokraja, Baksa, Tiran, Bongai Gaon, Biswanato, Rakinpur, Dalan, Majuri, Kacha and Karimganj.

And Dhubri, Kokrajar, Tiran, Barpeta, Nalbari, Kacha and Karimganj are said to rain on June 9th.

ASDMA reports that the floods still affected 40,700 people in the two districts, despite a significant reduction in flood conditions on Sunday. In addition, more than 40,700 people are reportedly suffering in the Kacha and Morigaon districts.

Morigaon suffered the worst, with floods killing 30,400 and Kacha killing 10,300.

Currently, 137 rural areas are saturated and 6,029.50 hectares of farmland have been destroyed.
