Assam: HS students with the first department to get a scooter based on the cutoff mark

“Previously, Assam Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that students who have secured their first division in HSLC and HS will be given scooters. Scooter will be given based on the cutoff mark.” Media reports quoted him as saying.

He further stated that last year a scooter was given to students based on a series of cutoff marks, and the same will be repeated this year under the same conditions.

The results of Higher Secondary Education (HS) were announced by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday.

According to official AHSEC data, the acceptance rate for Arts is 83.48%, Commerce is 87.26%, and Science is 92.19%.

Approximately 156107 students participated in the Arts Stream HS exam, of which approximately 130324 or 83.48% passed. In Arts Stream, Cherry Gohain of Tinsukia Women’s University and Sadana Devi of Kamurupa Women’s High School topped 487 points.
