Assam: A Govt Employee is asked to pay a fine for carrying beef in Karbi Anglong

According to reports, the Shillong-based central government worker who is currently serving as a diplomat was arrested on July 17, while he and his nephew were driving from Shillong in their car.

Two police officers intercepted the vehicle of Khriesaneisa, an employee, at Karbi-Anglong’s Manja Police checkgate, Assam.

After frisking the car, two officers discovered 2kg of beef.

According to reports, police officers threatened to take them to the station if the defendants didn’t pay their fine.

Rutsa then approached the Superintendent of Police Karbi Anglong to file a complaint.

Rutsa complained that cops wanted Rs. 2,000.
