Assam government transfers the case of a recently arrested terrorist suspect to NIA: CM Sarma

In particular, six suspected terrorists associated with Bangladesh’s al-Qaeda network were arrested last month in the Barpeta district of Assam.

When a reporter asked about the same thing on Saturday, Salma replied that it was established during the investigation that it was all an Indian network and supported by foreign soils.

“I want to transfer the case to NIA. During the investigation, I found that it was an all-Indian network and supported through foreign soils. Without the Ministry of Home Affairs, I wouldn’t be able to approach Interpol,” Times Now said. I quoted Mr. Salma’s words.

Commenting on the arrests of these suspected terrorists, Barpeta SP Amitabasinha claimed that they were all associated with al-Qaeda (AQIS) in the Indian subcontinent.

All of them were arrested after being informed by Jihadi, who was arrested on March 4. In particular, they were all natives of Barpeta.

“They had a relationship with AQIS member Mohammed Suman, also known as Saiful Islam, also known as Harun Rashid,” SP added.
