Assam Floods: More than 135,000 still affected. The death toll is now 180

Guwahati: Assam is now experiencing a decrease in floods, with only 13,71663 affected.

The population has declined, but the death toll has risen to 180. There was one more death reported Monday in Cachar District.

The floods are still affecting 24 districts, 54 revenue circles and the Assam State Disaster Management Authority.

It is estimated that 1,55,271 individuals are currently sheltering in 325 state relief camps.

Total number of affected villages is 1344

The most recent data shows that up to Monday, 43779.12 hectares cropland will still be affected by flooding.

51 relief distribution centres are managed by the state government.

An estimated 5,35,941 animals were affected. 25 others were said to have been swept away by the floods.
