Assam Floods: Flash Floods Affect 44 Villages in Tinsukia District

DOOMDOOMA: According to Tinsukia’s FRIMS (Flood Reporting and Information Management System), flash floods flooded 44 villages in three profit circles (RC) in Tinsukia due to constant rains in Arnachal Pradesh and the catchment area. Did.

In Duma Duma Revenue Village, the number of flood-affected villages is 26, while in Chapakova and Tinsukia Revenue Villages are 1 and 17, respectively. Approximately 25,000 people have been flooded and the district administration has opened five rescue camps for their shelters (three at Doomdooma RC and two at Tinsukia RC). So far, no life or animal losses have been reported, but floods are affecting approximately 350 hectares of crops. In addition to the five relief camps, the district administration has opened 21 relief distribution centers (2 each in Doomdooma and Chapakhowa RC, 17 in Tinsukia RC).

Meanwhile, the Department of Water Resources reported active river erosion at the Khamtiguwali Koila Pather within 100 meters of Wednesday.
