Assam Direct Recruitment: Cachar College Principal Arrested for Violation of Exam Protocols

SILCHAR: The police have taken the Cachar College principal to Silchar (Assam) into custody for allegedly violating Assam Direct Recruitment Exams protocols.

Siddhartha Shankar Nath – Principal of Cachar College at Silchar in Assam – alleged breached the exam protocols during the direct recruitment examination held on Sunday.

Nath was arrested by the Assam police after deputy commissioner of Cachar district – Rohan Kumar Jha filed an FIR against him.

Jha filed the FIR against Nath after he spotted “gross negligence” in the conduct of the Assam direct recruitment examination at the Cachar College.

Exams for direct entry into various departments of the Assam government took place on Sunday.

For recruitment to Grade-III or Grade-IV positions, the Assam state-level exam was conducted.

Exams took place in all 25 Assam districts, from 10 to 12 and 2 to 4 in the afternoon.

Internet service was also suspended in Assam’s 25 districts during examination hours.
