Assam becomes self-reliant in the power sector: Himanta Biswasalma

“The state plans to increase its power generation from the current 500 MW to 2000 MW over the next four years,” Salma said at a meeting of the Assam BJP Executive Committee in Dipu on Wednesday. Stated.

Apart from announcing this, Salma also addressed a wide variety of state-related issues in his speech.

He spoke in his speech about the Ornodoi project and said the government had decided to increase Ornodoi’s profits to rupees. From September 2022 to 1250, he announced the addition of new beneficiaries of Rs 60,000.

In addition, he further stated that a door-to-door verification drive will be conducted with the help of the NCC Military Academy to ensure that unqualified persons do not benefit.

Himanta also touched on the issue of farmers in the state, saying that of the 270,000 rupees in Assam, only 140,000 rupees have benefited from Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi so far.
