AKRSU stage protests demanding ST status in Shivsagar

SIVASAGAR: All Koch Rajbongshi Student’Union (AKRSU) sat in front of the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary’s office for three hours on Wednesday, and Sivasagar requested ST status from the Koch Rajbongshi community.

Protesters argued that the various parties that had established power in the past were fooling the Koch Rajbonsi community in the name of tribalization, saying, “Then Prime Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was later the minister at the time. The current Prime Minister, Himanta Biswa Salma, mentioned the fact that 90% of the work to give the Koch Rajibonsi community tribal status has already been done. The minister said that his department was in this regard. Announced that it has not received a draft from the Assam government. ”

AKRSU has expressed anger that Assam’s BJP government has been fooling the Koch Rajbongshi community for years. AKRSU also threatened to launch a protest program in July at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where 1,000 people demand ST status.
