SIVASAGAR: On Sunday, Sivasagar police arrested a young man in the Sepon area of Sivasagar for abducting a minor girl. The accused was identified as Bichitra Ruhi Das (18) of Betbari Alimur in Sibusagar.
The family of the 15-year-old girl filed a complaint, on which Sivasagar police began an investigation to track the girl and arrested a young man in the Sepon area accordingly. She claimed that her girl’s mother was kidnapped with the intention of taking her daughter to Hyderabad. Police detained the youth and a proceeding was filed against the youth’s IPC366.
