A man arrested for posting a statement to Prime Minister Modi on social media

Police said Friday that a 30-year-old man had been arrested for posting offensive remarks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a social media account.

According to police, Leehan, a defendant from Nadayar village under the restrictions of the Sahaswan police station, made an offensive statement to Prime Minister Modi and spread it on at least several social media platforms.

Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, the head of the police station, said Rajesh Kumar, a deputy inspector at the station, had filed a proceeding against Rehan.
