A helicopter crashes at an airport in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, killing two pilots

Two pilots died after a helicopter crashed at an airport in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Thursday evening. According to police, Captain Gopal Krishna Panda and Captain AP Shri Bastava were killed in the accident.

The helicopter ignited when the pilot tried to land the helicopter. Both pilots on board were killed in the accident. There were no passengers.

The incident occurred around 9:10 pm during flight practice at Swamibi Bekananda Airport in Ryepur, which is under the restrictions of the Mana Police Station, said Police Senior Police (SSP) Prasant Agrawar.

A detailed technical investigation will be conducted on behalf of the Director of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Government of Chhattisgarh to determine the exact cause.
