A Chennai couple returning to the United States was killed with domestic aid and 5 rupees stolen

A Chennai couple who returned from the United States yesterday were killed by a housekeeper who lived with them. Police recovered 5 rupees worth of jewelery that plundered 9 kilograms of gold. Police arrested two people in this case.

The couple were identified as a 60-year-old Sri Kant and his 55-year-old wife Anurada. Slicant was a certified accountant by his profession.

The suspect allegedly killed the couple in a horrific way in the house and buried the body in a farmhouse outside Chennai. Police arrested him and another man from Andhra Pradesh while trying to flee to his hometown of Nepal.

The incident was revealed when the daughter of a couple living in the United States warned local relatives after being unable to contact their parents. Their cell phone was turned off.

The two accused, domestic aid Krishnan, who is also an acting driver, and his friend Ravi were arrested by police from Andhra Pradesh’s Ongole while trying to escape. Police used a sophisticated tracking system to catch them before they left the country. Dr. Kannan, a senior police officer at the Chennai Police Department, said, “We have secured important evidence, including the CCTV recorder that the defendant took away. There is a strong allegation of conviction.”
