GORESWAR: The fifth biennial convention of Baksa District Journalists’ Union will likely be held with a two-days lengthy vibrant programme at Tamulpur Press Membership from August 27.

On this event, on August 27, following the delegate registration, the final government assembly of Baksa District Journalists’ Union will likely be held. The delegate session will likely be inaugurated formally by Bijit Gwra Narzary , MCLA of Darangajuli BTC constituency, within the night.

On August 28, the flag hoisting will likely be executed by Kameswar Das, outgoing president of Baksa District Journalists’ Union whereas garlanding and smriti tarpan will likely be executed by Ramen Das, I/C normal secretary of Bodoland Journalists’ Union and Ananda Ramciary, I/C president of Tamulpur Press Membership, respectively.

At midday, the open assembly will likely be inaugurated by Pramod Boro, Chief Govt Member of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and the open assembly will likely be presided over by outgoing district president Kameswar Das.

Hem Chandra Pathak, Baksa District Info and Public Relations Officer, will launch a memento whereas Jolen Daimary, MLA of Tamulpur LAC, will launch a mouthpiece. Naba Thakuria, senior journalist, will participate as appointed speaker within the open meet whereas Simanta Kumar Das, Deputy Commissioner of the Tamulpur district, will grace the assembly as chief visitor.
