14 families stuck along the border between India and Bhutan near Nagrijuli in Tamulpur district

TAMULPUR: Since Thursday night, 14 families in No 2 Dongargaon village have been stuck along the border between India and Bhutan near Nagrijuli in the Tamulpur district.

In the middle of the Bornodi River, about 70 people are stuck, including children from 14 households. Due to continuous rainfall, rising water washed away part of the dam, and the collapse of the dam flooded the houses. As a result, 14 families are stuck.

Upon receiving the information, Tamulpur MLA Jolen Daimary rushed to the scene with Dr. Dharmanarayan Das, an executive member of BTC, to understand the situation. Tamarpur district administration officials also rushed to the scene. On Friday evening, SDRF and NDRF personnel arrived at the Second Donggargaon for rescue operations. However, no one was rescued by the SDRF and NDRF teams until this report was submitted.
